Most albums were eventually released as scheduled, but people began developing new listening habits. ![]() An integral part of our culture hung (and still hangs) in the balance. Fans flocked to online livestreams to watch their favorite artists perform, and an incalculable number of albums and songs were written, recorded and released during lockdown. The income of independent musicians and venues was considerably slashed, threatening their survival, and album release schedules became uncertain. ![]() Life as we knew it ceased to exist and so did live music. The year 2020 will be forever imprinted in our collective memory.
